Vriginia Tech Hokies
Vriginia Tech Hokies Team Information:

The Virginia Tech Hokies are back in the Sugar Bowl. Led by outstanding sophomore quarterback Logan Thomas, super junior running back David Wilson, and all world coach Frank Beamer, the Hokies fell just short of their regular season goal winning the ACC championship when the were upset by the Clemson Tigers in the ACC championship game.

The Hokies have a lot to be proud of this year though, finishing the regular season 11 - 2, with notable wins against Miami, and Georgia Tech. As always the strength of this Virginia Tech team is it's defense. The much talked about unit is only giving up 17.2 points per game, good for 5th in the FBS.

How will this unit matchup against Michigan and Denard Robinson, that will be a key to the Sugar Bowl.

Sugar Bowl Game Information:

Tuesday, January 3rd 2012
Mercedes-Benz Superdome
New Orleans, Louisiana

This years Allstate Sugar Bowl gives us a matchup of non traditional rivals from the ACC and the Big 10, but is an intriguing matchup none the less . The strength of each team lies on opposite sides of the ball, in Virginia Tech's defense against Michigan's offense.

The biggest question in this game will be whether or not the Hokies can stop Robinson. If they can do that, then the Wolverines will have a long day, if they can't, then Michigan will light up the scoreboard.

In a clash between two of the best coaches in the nation, Beamer and Hoke, who will move their chess pieces properly to get the win?
