The West Virginia Mountaneers are the Big East Champions and are headed to the Discover Orange Bowl. Led by junior quarterback Geno Smith and his 25 passing touchdowns, the Mountaineers are back on top of the Big East and back in the Orange Bowl.
The Mountaineers finished the season with a 10 - 3 record with huge wins against Pittsburgh, South Florida and Connecticut. West Virginia is averaging an eye popping 34.9 points per game on offense.
The days of the Rich Rodriguez spread offense are a thing of the past, the Mountaineers can light it up through the air averaging more than 340 yards per game. It just so happens that is the strength of their opponent, this one should be an absolute shootout.
